Kent is the full-time historian and curator at the NCAA Football Hall of Fame, currently in Atlanta, Georgia. For nearly 30 years, Kent has endured three locations of the Hall of Fame over his tenure, starting in Ohio and then moving to South Bend, Indiana in 1995 and finally moving to Atlanta in 2014. For several years, there was a Traveling Hall of Fame that went, every week, to a new site — making them the original Game Day!
Kent and I talked about the history of the museum and how rule changes have affected the game. He gives his recommendations and tips about visiting the Hall of Fame.

Did you know that only 0.02% of college football players and coaches have made it into the Hall of Fame? This past June, the Hall of Fame announced the candidates who are eligible for entry in 2018. There are 75 players and six coaches from the Football Bowl Subdivision who will be waiting for the call. Also noteworthy, 98 players and 31 coaches from the divisional ranks will be on the ballot.
Notre Dame fans are hoping to add to their lead of Hall of Fame inductees in 2018. Mark Bavaro, Raghib Ismail, and Aaron Taylor are on the list of candidates. The Irish have 45 shrines to visit at the current Hall of Fame in Atlanta, GA.
