Andre Drummond – C – Detroit Pistons
(Vs. Toronto) 21 points, 18 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, 2 steals, 8-21 FG (38%), 0 turnovers
Drummond continues to thrive with the arrival of Reggie Jackson. His shooting could be better, but the high rebound total and lack of turnovers makes up for it somewhat.
Drummond is averaging 15.6 points, 15.8 rebounds, 2.4 blocks, 1.2 steals, 45 percent field goal shooting, and 0.8 turnovers per game in his last five.
Dion Waiters – SG – Oklahoma City Thunder
(Vs. L.A. Lakers) 23 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 10-16 FG (62%), 1 turnover
Waiters production has increased significantly since being inserted into the starting lineup, as the Thunder look to spread the scoring load in the absence of Kevin Durant. Waiters’ shooting has been an issue all season, but Tuesday night was his second game in the last three with a field goal percentage of 60 perent or higher.
Waiters is averaging 16.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 47 percent field goal shooting, and 1.0 turnovers per game in his past five.
DeMarcus Cousins – C – Sacramento Kings
(Vs. Philadelphia) 33 points, 17 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 blocks, 4 steals, 8-27 FG (29 percent), 3 turnovers
Despite his poor shooting, Cousins turned in a full stat sheet against the 76ers. His field goal percentage was definitely lacking, but a 17-19 mark from the free-throw line helped to balance things out, as did his defensive stats. He remains day-to-day with a minor calf injury, but appears to be fine for the time being.
Cousins is averaging 24.3 points, 12.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.3 blocks, 3.0 steals, 39 percent field goal shooting, and 4.3 turnovers per game in his past three.
Enes Kanter – C – Oklahoma City Thunder
(Vs. L.A. Lakers) 25 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 10-15 FG (66%) 5 turnovers
Kanter’s production has remained strong despite playing alongside Mitch McGary and Steven Adams. His five turnovers were highly uncharacteristic for him, and shouldn’t be a concern going forward. Kanter’s field goal percentage continues to be a major strength, and he is yet to miss a free-throw since March 11th. His ankle injury that kept him out on March 20 is no longer a concern.
Kanter is averaging 23.3 points, 12.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 65 percent field goal shooting, and 2.8 turnovers per game in his last five.
