Top NBA Fantasy Performers From Tuesday

Blake Griffin took advantage of Draymond Green's absence on Tuesday.
Blake Griffin – PF – Los Angeles Clippers
(Vs. Golden State) 40 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocks, 1 steal, 16-25 FG (64%), 3 turnovers

Griffin came alive Tuesday night in a losing effort against the Warriors, and was the focal point of the Clippers attack, as evidenced by his 25 field goal attempts. His numbers on the defensive end were great as well, and his 8-of-8 mark from the free-throw line didn’t hurt either. Griffin’s high number of shot attempts were certainly due to Draymond Green being out, with the defensively-inferior David Lee getting the nod instead.

Griffin is averaging 21.6 points, 7.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.0 blocks, 53 percent shooting, and 1.2 turnovers per game in his past five.

George Hill – PG – Indiana Pacers
(Vs. Brooklyn) 28 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 10-17 FG (58%), 0 turnovers

Hill has become a mainstay lately on this list, thanks to the Pacers’ continued reliance on him as they jockey for a playoff seed. That bodes well for Hill’s owners, as he should continue to produce at his current rate the last few weeks of the season, and for a bargain price in salary leagues.

Hill is averaging 23.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.0 blocks, 1.0 steals, 55 percent shooting, and 2.2 turnovers per game in his last five.

Brook Lopez – C – Brooklyn Nets
(Vs. Indiana) 24 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, 11-17 FG (64%), 0 turnovers

Speaking of mainstays, how about Brook Lopez? No team has had an answer for him during the Nets’ current 4-1 streak, and he’s showing no signs of slowing down. He is valuable in nearly every category, and can actually hit free-throws (21-25 in his past five games.)

Lopez is averaging 27.8 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.2 blocks, 59 percent shooting, and 1.2 turnovers per game in his past five.

Andre Drummond – C – Detroit Pistons
(Vs. Atlanta) 22 points, 13 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, 2 steals, 8-11 FG (72 percent), 1 turnover

Nobody in the league right now is coming close to posting the type of double-doubles that Drummond does on a regular basis. His field goal shooting has remained steady, but his free-throw shooting continues to be atrocious (43 percent in his past five.) Still, Drummond is your best bet right now for points and rebounds from the center position.

Drummond is averaging 21.8 points, 15.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 2.0 blocks, 1.2 steals, 60 percent shooting, and 0.4 turnover per game in his past five.

Chris Paul – PG – Los Angeles Clippers
(Vs. Golden State) 27 points, 9 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 steal, 7-17 FG (41%), 2 turnovers

Not a great shooting night from the field for Paul, but he was able to go 12-12 from the free-throw line. His assists (by his standards lately) were down just a bit, but he still had the best fantasy night among point guards in the league.

Paul is averaging 21.4 points, 10.6 assists, 3.6 rebounds, 2.4 steals, 50 percent shooting, and 3.2 turnovers per game in his past five.
