The Major League Baseball social media world was still flipping out — pun intended — Wednesday morning over Bryce Harper’s return to Washington on Tuesday night. Harper, the new Phillies slugger, was booed loudly by Nationals fans and responded with a mammoth home run and epic bat flip. Elsewhere around the league, the Rays kept rolling and Zack Greinke, a pitcher, hit two home runs.
Nationals fans have Bryce Harper envy. And they weren’t afraid to show it.
The best thing about Bryce Harper leaving for the Phillies is that it’s led so many grown men to arts and crafts. pic.twitter.com/xshaHat2oU

The team tried to give Harper a tribute video, but most of the home fans weren’t appreciative.

After an early strikeout, Harper got going with a double and a single. Then, the big blast.

And, oh yeah, Harper had a little something special planned as an exclamation point.

Elsewhere, the Tampa Bay Rays have been around more than 20 years, but never before have they had a start like this one.
Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson is feeling so good he’s quoting Drake lyrics.
And it turns out Zack Greinke is much more than the Diamondbacks ace pitcher.
Zack Greinke has more home runs in 2019 than the Twins, Indians, Angels, Rockies, and Tigers.
Zack Greinke also has a higher ERA in 2019 than all 30 MLB teams.
