Sometimes with professional sports, we get caught up in the news cycle and forget how fun they’re supposed to be. It was impossible not to remember that when Pirates’ outfielder Gregory Polanco returned from injury and took the field Monday night. It also was pretty fun when the Angels and Yankees went 14 innings in a game that featured a little bit of everything.
Gregory Polanco hit the ground running in his return from injury — literally. He went 2-for-4 and had one gigantic smile, too.
“That’s the biggest thing now, that I’m back and I’m able to play the sport that I love.”
Gregory Polanco is back from injury and ready to compete.

Then the game went deep into extra innings, and it just got weirder (the Yankees eventually won 4-3 in 14 innings).
The @Angels are out of position players and are forfeiting the DH.
