The league’s worst team will be without arguably their best player for the first six games of the season. Patrick Peterson tested positive for performance enhancing drugs, and the Arizona Cardinals’ Pro Bowl cornerback will be suspended for the team’s first six games. He was originally set to be suspended for eight games, but Peterson dropped his appeal and will sit out for six games as a result.

Marcus Peters showed that he has a career after football. Peters was fantastic in front of the green screen when delivering the weather report for a Hawaii network yesterday, and he was a natural in front of the camera. He is certainly enjoying his time off before the start of the season.

The moving and shaking continues with the New York Jets. Mere hours after the Jets parted ways with their general manager and named head coach Adam Gase the interim General Manager, he sent linebacker Darron Lee to the Kansas City Chiefs. Lee was taken in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, and Gase sent him to Kansas City for a sixth rounder in the 2020 NFL Draft.
And so Jets’ interim GM Adam Gase has made his first trade: LB Darron Lee to Chiefs for a 2020 6th-round pick.

Kareem Hunt seems to be grateful that he’s getting a second chance. The former Kansas City Chiefs running back was signed by Cleveland in February, and he is looking to win the starting running back job over Nick Chubb. Hunt played his college ball at the University of Toledo, so perhaps being closer to home will help him stay on the straight and narrow.
Mayfield said he’s enjoyed interactions with Kareem Hunt. Called him “a great kid” and can relate to him getting a second chance “from personal experience.” #Browns pic.twitter.com/9zg7RwFgIK
