The Colorado Avalanche surprised the Calgary Flames in the opening round of the NHL playoffs with a 4-1 win. The St. Louis Blues eliminated the Winnipeg Jets to make it to the second round, while Mark Giordano praised Nathan Mackinnon.

Welcome to the second round, St. Louis Blues
The St. Louis Blues won Game 6 against the Winnipeg Jets to wrap up the series thanks to a fantastic performance from Jaden Schwartz, who recorded a hat-trick in a 3-2 victory. The Blues became the first team in the NHL’s expansion era (since 1967-68) to win a playoff series after ranking last overall at any point after New Year’s Day.

Pastrnak with gifts to young fans
Boston Bruins’ David Pastrnak took his time during warmups prior to Game 6 with the Toronto Maple Leafs and shared a few pucks to young fans who wore his jersey. He also showed some skills and tricks while giving them presents.

Giordano on Mackinnon
The Calgary Flames were eliminated by the Colorado Avalanche in five games but their captain, Mark Giordano, only had nice words to say about Avs’ star Nathan Mackinnon, saying that he is a tough player to play against.
That's some high praise for @Mackinnon9 from @NHLFlames captain @MarkGio05.

Enough ketchup there, Andreas?
Toronto Maple Leafs’ Tyler Ennis is also playing a part in the NHL’s Cup Confidential series and he took a video of his teammate Andreas Johnsson during the Swede’s lunch and Andreas’ reaction was hilarious. Ennis made fun of Andreas because the Swede put too much ketchup on his food and we can only say that Ennis received a finger from Johnsson here.
