Trey Sanders enters the NCAA transfer portal

Trey Sanders, a running back for Alabama, is looking for a new school to continue his undergraduate studies. Sanders has decided to submit his name on Tuesday through the NCAA transfer site. Sanders, a member of the 2019 graduating class, played for the Crimson Tide for three seasons, making an overall 26-game appearance total.

Injury has hampered Sanders’ career because he missed his first season due to a foot problem. After making his Alabama debut in 2020, Sanders was once again sidelined after suffering several injuries in a vehicle accident. When the Crimson Tide’s running backs suffered a number of injuries late in the season in 2021, Sanders made another recovery and was needed.

In his three seasons, Sanders had nine receptions for 66 receiving yards, 116 carries for 528 running yards, and three rushing touchdowns. The Iron Bowl match between Alabama and Auburn will take place on Saturday as the last regular-season game for Alabama at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
