UCF Knights vs Stanford Cardinal Game Pick

The Stanford University Cardinal host the University of Central Florida Knights at Stanford Stadium this week. The game will begin Saturday, Sep 12 at 3:30 p.m. ET and can be seen on FS1.

Stanford was defeated by Northwestern 16-6 last week. Austin Hooper had a solid game in the loss, totaling five receptions for 45 yards. UCF came up short as well, losing a close one to FIU 15-14 in its matchup. Jordan Akins had an outstanding performance for the Knights, registering nine receptions for 104 yards and two TDs. Tre’Quan Smith also had a big game with 104 yards on nine receptions.

Stanford is a 16-point favorite in this game and the Over/Under (O/U) is 43 points.

The Cardinal have started poorly this season with records of 0-1 Straight Up (SU) and 0-1 Against The Spread (ATS). The Cardinal have the 15th-best pass defense in the nation and give up 105 yards per game through the air.

Across the field, the Knights are clearly doing something wrong with a 0-1 record SU and ATS so far this season. The Knights aren’t too worried about the Stanford passing attack, which has the nation’s 120th-ranked yards per pass of just 7.8 yards. The Cardinal need to secure the ball against the fumble-minded Knights. They’re 22nd in the country in fumbles recovered with one per game.

Predictions: SU Winner – UCF, ATS Winner – UCF, O/U – Over
