DINAMO MINSK (BLR) vs. RABOTNICKI (MAC)
Three-Way: 1: Dinamo Minsk -192; X: +330 Draw; 2: Rabotnicki +691
Spread -1: Dinamo Minsk -108; Rabotnicki +100
Total +2: Over +120; Under -137
DINAMO MINSK (BLR)
Currently sitting at 3rd position in the domestic league in Belarus, Minsk has continued where they left off last season, finishing third in the league. They scored 46 goals in the last campaign, while conceding 28 in thirty matches.
In the first round of the Europa League qualifiers, they won both of their matches against NSI, with the scores being 2:1 and 0:2 in the home and away matches respectively. This season, however, they haven’t made any singings yet, instead only welcoming back players who went out on loan.
RABOTNICKI (MAC)
Like their opponents, Rabotnicki also finished in third position last year in the Fudbalska league in Macedonia. They scored 49 goals, while conceding 41 throughout the 36 matches, which indicates a tendency towards shipping quite a lot of goals.
They had to face Tre Penne in the first round of the Europa League qualifiers, whom they defeated in both the legs with the scores being a 0:1 win and a 6:0 rout at home.
Rabotnicki has strengthened their squad this season with three new signings, all on free transfers. Albanian centreback Amir Bilali, along with wingers Stojan Velinov and Florijan Kadriu have all been recruited ahead of the new seasons.
DINAMO MINSK (BLR) vs. RABOTNICKI (MAC) – Match Prediction:
The first leg was a 1:1 draw, which means Dinamo Minsk already holds a valuable away goal advantage. Moreover, Rabotnicki hasn’t really been very positive in away games recently, and therefore, this will be a tough match for the Macedonian team. So, my bet will be on a comfortable home win for Dinamo Minsk, and hence, qualification to the next round of the Europa League.
MY PICK: Dinamo Minsk AH -1 (-108)
LYNGBY (DEN) vs. SLOVAN BRATISLAVA (SVK)
Three-Way: 1: Lyngby +112; X: +225 Draw; 2: Slovan Bratislava +237
Spread -0.5: Lyngby +113; Slovan Bratislava -145
Total +2: Over -152; Under +123
LYNGBY (DEN)
The Danish club finished the last season in third position, which was mostly due to their inefficiency in front of the goal. They managed to score just 25 goals in 26 matches, while conceding 23. However, they were efficient in edging out low scoring matches, which is why they didn’t drop any further.
Currently on a five match winning run, Lyngby performed very well in the first round of the Europa League qualifiers, winning 1:0 and 0:3 against Bangor City. Their last match was a home win in league by 2:1 against Silkeborg.
They have signed three Danish players, as they strengthen various aspects of their team. Mathias Rasmussen, along with goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen and right back Oliver Lund, joined the team this transfer window and will probably play a part in the match.
SLOVAN BRATISLAVA (SVK)
Finishing last season in second position in the Slovakian Top flight, Bratislava scored 56 goals in 32 matches, while they conceded 37 in the same duration in their league campaign.
In the first round of the Europa League qualifiers, Bratislava thrashed Pyunik across the two legs with a final score of 7:3 on aggregate. Between the first and the second round, they also played two friendlies, winning one and losing the other.
In the transfer market, they have signed midfielder Ibrahim Rabiu from Gent for 1 million Euros, who is a direct replacement for outgoing midfielder Seydouba Soumah.
LYNGBY (DEN) vs. SLOVAN BRATISLAVA (SVK) – Match prediction:
Even though the first match ended as a defeat for the now away team, the match was a much closer affair then one would have thought. Similarly, the second leg also seems like that it would be a tough one for both sides. However, considering the fact that Lyngby already has an away goal, and is playing in front of their own crowd, I would place my money on a home win for the Danish side.
MY PICK: Lyngby (+112)
HJK (FIN) vs. SHKENDIJA (MAC)
Three-Way: 1: HJK -105; X: +279 Draw; 2: Shkendija +342
Spread -0.5: HJK -106; Shkendija +102
Total +2.5: Over -109; Under -105
HJK (FIN)
Currently sitting at the top of the Finnish Veikkausliga, HJK just missed out on the league title by three points in the previous campaign. They scored a league high total of 52 goals, while conceding 36 goals last season.
HJK staged an impressive comeback after losing the first leg against Connoh’s Quay in the first round of the Europa League qualifiers. The final score was 3:1 on aggregate, owing to the 3:0 win at home for HJK.
The club has made three new signings, with all of them being attackers. Jean-Jacques Bougouhi, Filip Valencic, and winger Evans Mensah are all brought in to bring firepower to their attack.
SHKENDIJA (MAC)
Shkendija finished last season right in between 1st and 3rd position, as they were 13 points behind first, and 16 points above third. They scored an impressive 71 goals in the league, while conceding 39 in 36 matches in the league campaign.
In the first round of the qualifiers, Shkendija showcased dominant performances against Dacia, winning 3:0 and 0:4 in home and away legs respectively. More than the goals, their control over the game and the clean sheets have to be lauded.
They have signed two goalkeepers in youngster Bekim Redjepi and Ilir Avdyli, along with defender Olsi Tedja, all on free transfers.
HJK (FIN) vs. SHKENDIJA (MAC) – Match prediction:
The first leg was an impressive victory for Shkendija, who won 3:1. However, HJK is more than capable of a comeback, and they also have an away goal. But keeping factors like recent form in mind, I will suggest that this will be an open match, with both the teams scoring, and in the end, Shkendija just edging it through on aggregate. Therefore my prediction will be a home win, but not enough for HJK to progress.
MY PICK: HJK (-105)
Additional Pick: Both teams to score YES (-128)
MLADA BOLESLAV (CZE) vs. SHAMROCK ROVERS (IRL)
Three-way: 1: Mlada Boleslav -286; X: +383 Draw; 2: Shamrock Rovers +705
Spread -1.5: Mlada Boleslav +102; Shamrock Rovers -127
Total +3: Over -105; Under -115
MLADA BOLESLAV (CZE)
Mlada Boleslav finished the last season just narrowly in 4th place, after edging over the fifth placed team by just one point. They scored 47 goals, while conceding 37, in a space of 30 matches in the league.
Before the first leg, they played four club friendlies, out of which, they won two, and lost two, scoring 6 goals and conceding 6 in these matches.
They have brought in defensive players Aleksander Susnjar and Marek Matejovsky in the current transfer window as recruitments for the season ahead.
SHAMROCK ROVERS (IRL)
Shamrock is currently sitting at the fourth position in the league; the same position in which they finished their last league campaign. Last year, they scored 46 goals while conceding 34 in 33 matches, which means they were fourth best in both ends of the field.
In the first round, they defeated Stjarnan 1:0 in both the legs. Apart from that, they took part in two friendlies, out of which they lost both, including a 0:9 whooping against Celtic at home.
MLADA BOLESLAV (CZE) vs. SHAMROCK ROVERS (IRL) – My Prediction:
Mlada Boleslav managed to win the first leg as both the sides managed to score at least a couple of goals, and in the process, got three vital away goals. Now, as this is a home match for the Czech team, I feel that this is going to be a win. Furthermore, I think that this will be a high scoring encounter, so I am taking the over.
MY PICK: Mlada Boleslav AH -1.5 (+102)
Additional Pick: Over 3 goals (
