The UFC 190 card is scheduled for PPV this Saturday night with a main event featuring women’s bantamweight phenom Ronda Rousey defending her title against Brazil’s Beth Correia.
Like anyone facing Rousey, Correia is facing a tall order. Though Rousey is fighting in Correia’s home country, it is unclear who has the advantage there, as Rousey’s Judo experience gives her a lot of fights under hostile conditions. But Correia is in the main event fight of a UFC event in Rio and must be feeling the full brunt of media pressure and raised expectations.
The co-feature fight is the duel between coaches to close out the season of “Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 4″ as Mauricio Rua faces Antonio Rogerio Noguiera in a rematch of the 2005 “Fight of the Year”. The finals of the bantamweight series pits Reginaldo Vieira against Dileno Lopez and lightweight in the division Fernando Bruno takes on Glaco Franca Moreira.

In a heavyweight tilt, Rodrigo Noguiera faces off against Stefan Struve. It is rare to see “Big Nog” on the under-card and with his twin brother in the co-main event, but this may actually be the last fight for the Brazilian legend, as going out at home with a win over Struve would be a nice cap to a legendary career.
As for Struve, “The Skyscraper” is still just 27 years old and has intriguing potential but a series of injuries and scary medical incidents have him trying to rebuild his status. Also at heavyweight and trying to rebound is Antonio Silva, who faces rugged Soa Palelie.
