UFC 211 Miocic vs Dos Santos Odds

UFC 211 Miocic vs Dos Santos Odds for Saturday – The UFC 211 pay-per-view is set for Saturday, May 13th at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas. The card is headlined by two world title fights.

Heavyweight titlist Stipe Miocic returns to defend his title against Junior Dos Santos. the bout is the second between the two men and Dos Santos may have a mental edge, having one the first outing by unanimous decision. That fight was back in December of 2014 and Miocic has been flying high ever since. Miocic has been a relatively quiet and nondescript champion since winning the belt against Fabricio Werdum and a commanding, signature win over Dos Santos would go a long way towards elevating his profile. The fact is that the UFC’s heavyweight belt should be the most coveted title in all of mixed martial arts, but Miocic is still far from a household name.

Dos Santos lost the heavyweight belt to Cain Velasquez back in December of 2012 so it has been nearly five years since Dos Santos held the title. Though it would seem time may have passed Dos Santos by, he is still just 33 years of age. As a heavyweight that would mean he may still have some shelf life left and he is in fact one year younger than Miocic. Both have been through several in ring wars, including their grueling first fight, and all things point to both men heading into another war come Saturday.

The co-feature sees ladies straw weight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk defending her title against Jessica Andrade. Jedrzejczyk has established herself as the most dominant female champion the UFC has had since Ronda Rousey and she is coming off a win against Poland’s Karolina Kowalkiewicz that put a home country rivalry on the map. Jedrzejczyk has faced her share of Brazilians in the UFC and Andrade is next in line as she is riding a solid three fight winning streak.  Andrade will enter the fight with “Joanna” as the biggest underdog on the UFC 211 card.

A juicy welterweight bout between surging contenders Jorge Masvidal and Demian Maia is also on the slate. It seems like Maia has been around a long time and he has! In April of 2010 he faced then-champion Anderson Silva for the UFC middleweight title and he has fought consistently ever since at 185 pounds and at his current 170 pound welterweight limit. He has gone 12-4 since the loss to Silva and he has won six in a row to get himself back into contention. Masvidal is hot right now himself as he is riding a three-fight winning streak that includes a big win over Donald Cerrone in his last outing.
