UFC 219 Under Card Odds Review – The UFC 219 comes to us live from Las Vegas this Saturday and the under card in support of the PPV bouts can be seen on Fox Sports 1.
Perhaps the most interesting encounter on the undercard comes at featherweight as Rick Glenn and Myles Jury hook up. Rewind to the end of 2014 and Jury was one of the hot names in the UFC. His record was 15-0 and he had won his first six UFC fights. Unfortunately for Jury, he would go 0-2 in 2015, losing to Donald Cerrone and Charles Oliveira. Jury took all of 2016 off and he returned in April off 2017 with a win over Mike De La Torre. Now 29 years old, Jury needs a win to start moving back up the rankings.
Glenn is 20-4-1 overall and he ended 2014 with a loss to Lance Palmer in the old World Series of Fighting promotion. A three fight winning streak on smaller events saw Glenn get the call from the UFC. Glenn dropped his UFC debut but he has put together a two fight winning streak since then.
The featherweight division still has a lot of talent despite the departure of Conor McGregor. Right now, Max Holloway has consolidated his grip on the divisional title with a pair of wins of Brazilian Jose Aldo, the long-time champion who lost his title to McGregor. Jury is 29 years old and Glenn is a year younger at 28. Both men are hoping to be one of the next challengers to Holloway’s belt.
Poland is a hotbed for combat sports and Michal Oleksiejczuk is the latest fighter from that country to make the UFC roster. He is 12-2 overall but he started his career off 3-2 so he is riding a nice nine fight winning streak heading into his UFC debut. There to greet him on his way in the door is TUF season 23 alumni Khalil Rountree. Rountree is 2-2 since joining the UFC’s main roster but he has won two in a row and a loss would bring his momentum to a halt. Though you can expect Oleksiejczuk to come with a bit of hype it is notable that he has competed in Poland’s”B”circuit and has not fought on the big KSW show in his home country.
Dan Hooker and Marc Diakiese meet in a lightweight bout on the undercard. Diakese is from England and Hooker is from New Zealand so the pair are meeting on neutral grounds. Diakese ran ff three UFC wins in a row before losing his last outing to Drakkar Close via split decision. Meanwhile, Hooker is 4-3 in the UFC and he has been alternating wins and losses since he joined the big show roster.
Below are the odds for the Fox Sports 1 portion of the card and the two prelims that will air on the UFC”s Fight Pass.
