UFC Fight Night 113 Odds For Sunday’s Fights – The UFC is back in Europe this Sunday as they hit Glasgow, Scotland with Ultimate Fight Night 113. As expected, the card is heavy on European talent and it is headlined by a five-round welterweight bout between Iceland’s Gunnar Nelson (16-2) and Argentina’s Santiago Ponzinibbio (24-3).
When Gunnar Nelson came to the UFC back in 2012, he had the “prodigy” label and he did a lot to keep that going. After going 4-0 in his first four fights, he has gone 3-2 since and fallen back to the pack. He has managed two wins in a row and a win over Ponzinibbio will start him moving back up the divisional rankings. Ponzinibbio has a four-fight winning streak going for him and a victory here would definitely give him his biggest win in the UFC. Nelson is going to enter the fight a favorite to win, but it is a competitive fight that will leave the winner looking at a top 5 opponent next.
A pair of three round womens’ bouts follow on the main card as Strawweights Joanne Calderwood (11-2) takes on Cynthia Calvillo (9-0) and bantamweights Leslie Smith (9-7-1) faces Amanda Oliveira de Lemos (6-0-1).
Calderwood has a strong record, but she is 2-2 in her last four fights and she is coming off a loss to Jessica Andrade in her last outing. In Calvillo she faces a fighter who is undefeated as a professional and boasts a half a dozen amateur fights on her resume as well. Calvillo is an impressive 2-0 in 2017 with the UFC while Calderwood has not fought since September of 2016.
Smith won her last outing via UD over Irene Aldana and she needs a win here to put together her first two-fight winning streak in more than four years. This will be Smith’s seventh UFC fight while Lemos is making her debut with the big show after fighting her entire early career in her home country of Brazil.
Lightweights Steve Ray (21-6) and Paul Felder (13-3) are in the main card bout that has the closest line at the sports books. Both men are looking for their sixth UFC win and both men enter the fight coming off of a win. Ray is from Scotland and it may be the home field advantage that swings this tight bout his way, as Scottish fans have earned a reputation for fervently following their guys.
