The UFC Fight Night card this Saturday comes to us from Fairfax, Virginia with a main event of Chad Mendes versus Ricardo Lamas. It is a tough fight with two of the top guys in their respective weight class, as Lamas is 6-1 in his last seven fights, with his lone loss coming to title-holder Jose Aldo. Meanwhile, Mendes is 16-2 overall and he would have a perfect record if it were not for two losses to Aldo, so the fight represents two of the top guys in the division jockeying for position in the upper rankings.

The co-main event features rising lightweight Al Iaquinta as he faces veteran Jorge Masvidal. Both men are on three fight winning streaks and both are looking to add a fourth win in a row, which should give them a real bump in the rankings. Iaquinta is walking into this one with a buzz. Also at lightweight, Michael Chiesa faces Mitch Clarke in a fight that sees Chiesa trying to regain momentum after being stopped on a cut by Joe Lauzon is his last outing.
Rounding out the main portion of the card is the ladies’ bantamweight bout between Juliana Pena and Milana Dudieva. Pena is coming off a long layoff that saw her miss all of 2014, but she did win her UFC debut in her last fight. Dudieva is also 1-0 in the big show, and giving the fight main card status raises expectations for bopth women.
