The UFC Fight Night “Henderson vs Boetsch” event scheduled for New Orleans this Saturday features an undercard that features some very experienced fighters near the top of the card.  Heavyweights Shawn Jordan and Derrick Lewis top the preliminary matches as the two meet in a rematch of a bout from roughly five years ago.  Jordan is from Louisiana and was a college football star at LSU, while Lewis is from nearby Houston. Jordan has put together a two-fight winning streak as he tries to bounce back from losing his two prior fights.  Lewis has gone 3-1 with the UFC and he is looking to win a second fight in a row after making short work of Ruan Potts back in February.

At welterweight, Brian Ebersole (51-16) returns to face Omari Akhmedov.  Ebersole is 5-2 overall in the UFC and he last beat John Howard in September of last year to snap a two-fight winning streak.  Akhmedov is 2-1 in his UFC career and 14-2 overall.  He dropped a fight to standout Gunnar Nelson in March of 2014, but he came back this past January with a win over Mats Nilsson.  Look for Ebersole to use his grinding style to extend the fight, as he has gone the distance in 6 of his last seven fights.

The entire card will air on Fox Sports 1 in the United States.  Check out the latest video blog where we review the odds for all of the preliminary card fights at the UFC Fight Night 68.
