UFC Fight Night 84 Odds – Silva vs Bisping is This Saturday

UFC Fight Night 84 Odds

UFC Fight Night 84 Odds – The O2 Arena in London hosts the Fight Night 84 event this coming Saturday. The main event sees Anderson Silva return to face Michael Bisping.

The entire show is scheduled for the UFC Fight Pass and, with Silva returning after another long layoff, there does not seem to be as much hype around his fighting. Nevertheless, Bisping will be content to play the role of disrespectful Brit to hype the fight, and it is in London. Silva is now 40 years old, but he has an open-ended contract with the UFC and win or lose, we will likely see him again.

Silva really is in a no-lose situation. Bisping is going to come after him, and if he fools around and starts clowning with Bisping, he could get caught.  After losing his title and breaking his leg, Silva came back and fought Nick Diaz in a fight that saw him much more serious than he had in the past. Silva stayed away from the antics he had engaged in, and if he can do that against Bisping, he will likely win. For his part, Bisping is already in his late 30’s so it is not like he is going to come into this fight drastically different. Bisping comes forward, and if that is the case, he resembles fighters like Forrest Griffin that Silva has had no problems solving.

The co-feature bout sees more Middleweight action as Gegard Mousasi returns to face Thales Leites. Mousasi remains talented but enigmantic.  He is coming off a loss to Uriah Hall that snapped a modest two fight winning streak, and he is a lackluster 4-3 overall in the UFC. Leites is coming off a loss to Bisping that snapped his five fight winning streak in the UFC.

At welterweight, Tom Breese (9-0) is facing Keita Nakamura (31-6-2). Breese is just 24 years old and he has maintained a perfect 9-0 MMA record, going 2-0 in the UFC so far. Nakamura is a veteran with a lot of fights who returned to the UFC with a win in September of 2015.  Prior to that he had an 0-2 run with the UFC back in 2007.

Popular Bantamweight Brad Pickett returns to face Francisco Rivera. Pickett is in desperate need of a win. He has dropped three UFC fights in a row, and he is now 37 years old, which is not a good sign for an athlete in the smaller weight classes. In Rivera, he gets a fighter who is 1-3 in his last four fights, and is 4-3 overall in the UFC.
