UFC Fight Night 85 Odds – The UFC is at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane, Australia this Saturday with the UFC Fight Night 85. No titles are on the line, but the main fight is a five rounder.
The main event sees two veterans squaere off in the heavyweight division as Mark Hunt faces Frank Mir. Neither guy is going to affect the title picture anytime soon, but both men wil likely put on an entertaining fight.
Mir is a former Heavyweight titleholder who is 18-10 overall. He had been hearing the call to retire after losing four fights in a row, but 2015 saw start off the year 2-0 to put him back on the map. In September he did lose a UD to Andrei Arlovski, another surging former champion, and we have not seen him since. At 36, he could still provide competition for many of the group’s heavyweight division, but Mir has really slowed diwn in terms of sheer physical speed in the octagon.
For his part, Hunt is not a speedster either, and at 41 years old it is hard to see him affecting the title picture again. But he is an entertaining regional draw, and he is coming off a win over Antonio Silva that saw the New Zealander Hunt score the definitive stoppage.

The co-feature bout sees Cuban Hector Lombard return to aAustralia, where he fought for a long time before heading to Bellator and eventually making his way to the UFC. Unfortunately for Lombard, that path took a while to get him here, and he is now 38 years old. That he is returning from a suspension for PED use leaves open the question of a performance drop-off. He was once a contender at Welterweight, but the title shot is now more than just one win away for Lombard.
A performance drop-off is not recommeded against Neil Magny, who went 4-1 in five fights in 2015. The lone loss came at the hands of Demian Maia, but the UFC felt strong enough about Magny to bring him back after just three weeks, and he did not let them down. Magny is on a streak where he is now 9-1 in his last ten fights and a win over Lombard will have people talking title shot.
At Lightweight, Aussie Jake Matthews squares off against Johnny Case of the USA. Matthews is just 21 years old and he is already 3-1 in the UFC, but he is going to be giving up 5 years and more than a dozen fights in experience to Case. Case has gone 4-0 since joining the UFC< and he is on an overall 12 fight winning streak.
