UFC Fight Night 86 Odds – The UFC Fight Night series heads to Zagreb, Croatia this Sunday, April 10th, with UFN 86. The show is scheduled for the UFC Fight Pass network, so do not forget to check for local start times in your area.
The main event is a Heavyweight duel of two top fighters in the division, as Ben Rothwell faces off against Junior Dos Santos.
For Dos Santos, Cain Velasquez’s loss of the UFC Heavyweight belt to Fabricio Werdum should be a career rejuvenating thing. A former champion in his own right, Dos Santos carried two losses in a row against Velasquez and he was going to have to basically shut down the division to get another title match. Now with the ascension of Werdum, a man Dos Santos owns a UFC 90 win over back in 2008, he is one strong win away from being right back in the title picture. The problem for Dos Santos is whether the two bludgeonings he received at the hands of Velasquez and the subsequent war with Mark Hunt took something out of him.
Rothwell is fast approaching 50 fights at 36-9, and he has won his last four fights in a row. His last outing saw him submit “WarMaster” Josh Barnett, a former UFC Champion who was returning to make one more run. Prior to that, he had scored stoppage wins over Alsitair Overeem, Matt Mitrione and Brandon Vera so a win over Dos Santos should be enough to label him #1 contender.
Now, Fabricio Werdum faces Stipe Miocic for the belt in mid-May, and Velasquez is set to face Travis Browne in July. A big showing by Velasquez could but the former champion in front of the Rothwell vs Dos Santos winner in line for a title, so both Rothwell and Dos Santos need a convinicing win to cement their arguments.
UFC Fight Night 86 Odds
The UFC always gets a lot of attention at the sport books, and you can look for the rest of the UFC Fight Night 86 Odds to appear as we get closer to fight day. For now, the books have posted two other bouts on the card. This will be Gonzaga’s 22nd UFC fight, so he has been around. In his last outing, he scored a career-saving UD win over Konstantin Erokhin that snapped a three-fight losing streak. Lewis is 5-2 in the UFC and needs a victory here to get his winning streak up to three fights. The welterweight match between Nicholas Dalby and Zak Cummings is an interesting one, as Dalby is coming off a draw while Cummings is coming off a KO win that lasted less than a minute.
