UFC Fight Night 92 Odds Review for Saturday

UFC Fght Night 92 Odds Review

UFC Fight Night 92 Odds Review – The UFC Fight Night 92 comes to us live from the Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah this Saturday night with a full event of mixed martial arts that airs on FOX SPORTS 1.

In the main and co-main event spots are the featherweights, the weight class where Conor McGregor is the current beltholder. McGregor is off fighting a superfight against Nate Diaz at UFC 202, and if he returns to the division he will be facing a rematch with Jose Aldo. The weight class however did see top gun Chad Mendes go down for steroid use (2 year suspension) and another top name, Frankie Edgar, took a disheartening loss to Aldo so the division is looking for some new blood.

Yair Rodriguez (8-1) of Mexico would like to be that new blood. Rodriguez is a fine 4-0 in the UFC and he has not lost a fight since December of 2012. The UFC would like to develop a home grown star south of the border, as the company has long looked at the Mexican market with lust. The UFC has held shows in Mexico City that were successful, but with a full-fledged Mexican star headlining the card, the UFC would be much better off.

Standing in Rodriguez’ was is Alex Caceres. The Brazilian who uses the funny nickname “Bruce Leeroy” is a serious test for Rodriguez at this stage in his career. At 12-8 in his career and 7-6 in the UFC, Caceres has faced a far higher level of international competition than Rodriguez, and he will be looking to pull off the upset in this one.

The second featherweight bout sees Dennis Bermudez (15-5) taking on Rony Mariano Bezerra (14-5). Bezzerra is better known as Rony “Jason” and he does come to the ring with the hockey mask a la Jason from the Friday the 13th movies. Bezarra is making his return to the octagon for the first time since his May of 2015 bout with Damon Jackson. That bout saw the result overturned to a no contest due to a positive PED test for Bezerra. Bermudez lost two in a row in the UFC after putting together a strong seven fight winning streak, and in this fight he is looking to win his second fight since those two losses. Both men have the same number of fights and reputations for wars, so look for an entertaining brawl. If “Jason” had not been away from fighting for 14 months, the line might be even closer.
