UFC on FOX 20 Undercard Odds – The UFC on FOX 20 card is live this Saturday from the United Center in Chicago. The main event sees women’s bantamweight action as Holly Holm faces Valentina Shevchenko. Ther eare eleven fights on the card in total, with the undercard reveiwed below.
The undercard is buoyed by a pair of UFC veterans from neighboring Indiana as Eddie Wineland and Darren Elkins return. Wineland has been off for a year, and before that he dropped two in a row and three of his last four. He had a reputation for being one of the toughest outs in the division for a long time, Wineland will be eager to show he has something left in the tank. Saenz went 3-0 to start off in the UFC, but he lost his last outing to Urijah Faber and he will be looking to avoid a two fight losing streak.
Elkins has been training in California with Team Alpha Male, and he is riding a two fight winning streak heading into this fight. Pepey has been around a while, and he started his UFC career off 1-3 before running off a three fight winning streak. The fight with Elkins is a step up fight for Pepey. Elkins has been on the cusp of the top 10 in the past but has fallen flat in several fights. Here, he will be hoping to put together the second three fight winning streak of his UFC career.
The lightweight division sees a match-up of two guys with impressive MMA records as JC Cottrell (17-3) takes on Michel Prazeres (19-2). Cottrell is coming up from the “B” circuit to make his UFC debut. He has an impressive record tha tincludes six wins in a row, but how that will translate to the bright lights of the big show is a big unknown. Prazeres has gone 3-2 in the UFC thus far, and falling to 3-3 is something he wants to avoid at all cost. One thing is for sure, Prazeres has put in the time as all five of his octagon fights have gone the distance.
Alex Oliveira, Brazil’s version of “The Cowboy,” is back as he faces James Moontasri. Oliveira had put together a nice three-fight winning streak before facing off against Donald “The Cowboy” Cerrone in a showdown of guys with the same nickname. Oliveira lost that fight, but he does get to keep the nickname. As for Moontasri, he is 2-2 in the UFC as he has been alternating wins and losses since he arrived. He won his last outing, so he needs a win to snap the pattern and stay above the .500 mark.
