UFC on Fox 21 Under Card Odds Review

UFC on Fox 21 Under Card Odds Review – The UFC brings their live show to Vancouver this Saturday night with a card headlined by the five round welterweight clash between veterans Carlos Condit and Damian Maia. The complete card features eleven fights in all, and the sports books have lines and over/under numbers for the entire card.

Kevin Casey returns to the UFC in a middleweight fight facing “Smiling” Sam Alvey. Alvey is a veteran with a 27-8-1 overall record, and he is 4-3 in the UFC’s octagon. Casey may have the UFC’s all-time odd record as he has 1 win, 1 loss, one draw and two no contests on his official tally. Obviously, Casey needs a win, and a clean win to signal the start of a consistent streak. Alvey absorbed his second loss in a row this past June, but he already fought in mid-July and bounced back with a win.

In Lightweight action, Chad LaPrise and Thibault Gouti meet in a match that displays some of the UFC’s matchmaking etiquette. Both men entered the UFC as undefeated fighters, and LaPrise even rattled off a three fight UFC winning streak on his way in the door.  Both men have suffered two losses in a row in the “big show” and tha thas taken the steam out of both of their rises. Though still trying to find their way on the crowded UFC roster, both men are around 30 years old, so both need to right the ship with a win immediately.

In the featherweight divison, Kyle Bochniak and Enrique Barzola. Barzola is 11-2-1 overall he he won his UFC debut against Horacio Gutierrez in November of last year. Bochniak is 0-1 in the UFC. Despite that, Bochniak will enter the fight a favorite, as  Gutierrez is from Peru, which is not internationally known as a hotbed of MMA. Gutierrez however has a lot more in ring experience, and real observers of the international sport of MMA will know that Peru has long had an active grass roots scene that has produced a handful of solid fighters.

UFC on Fox 21 Under Card Odds Review

Below are the odds for the undercard of this Saturday’s UFC on FOX 21 under card. Check your local listings for start times, as the undercard is available on Fox Sports 1 and on the UFC Fight Pass. The card included another middleweight bout between Adam Hunter and Adam Janes because Hunter received notification of a potential violation of the anti-doping policy. Both men were making their UFC debuts, so for Hunter this could turn into a major setback. Janes was paid for showing up and he was promised a bout against a different opponent in the near future as well. No opponent could be found to replace Hunter on such short notice.
