UNLV Rebels vs Nevada Wolf Pack Odds

The Nevada-Las Vegas Rebels travel to meet the Nevada Wolf Pack at Clarence Mackay Stadium this week. The game will begin Saturday, Oct 3 at 7:00 p.m. ET and can be seen on CI.

Nevada won a close one against Buffalo 24-21 last week. James Butler had a big game on the ground in the win, rushing for 177 yards and one TD on 16 carries. Don Jackson also had a big game with 113 rushing yards and two TDs on 17 attempts. UNLV was able to pick up the win last week’s performance, crushing Idaho State 80-8 in its matchup. Xzaviar Campbell had an outstanding performance on the ground for the Rebels, gaining 139 yards and two TDs on nine carries. Keith Whitely also had a big day, contributing 95 rushing yards and a TD on 12 attempts.

Oddsmakers have deemed the Nevada and UNLV game as an even matchup and the Over/Under (O/U) is currently unavailable.

Heading into Week 5 of the college football season, the Wolf Pack are 2-2 both Straight Up (SU) and Against The Spread (ATS). UNLV’s run defense has struggled this season, with an average of 5.1 yards per run.

On the other side, the Rebels are a good bet so far, with a respectable record of 3-1 ATS. Their SU record, 1-3, hasn’t been quite as good. UNLV has found a lot of success on the ground. Its 238.5 rushing yards per game ranks 20th in Division I. The Rebels could take advantage of Nevada’s reputation as a slow starter on defense. They are 103rd in Division I in first-quarter points allowed with 8.8.

Predictions: SU Winner – Nevada-Las Vegas, ATS Winner – Nevada-Las Vegas
