After an exciting second round of the 2018 Masters Tournament, BetDSI Sporsbook has updated the odds to win the golf major. It’s no surprise that Patrick Reed has moved into the favorites role. Meanwhile, Jordan Spieth has fallen back to 7/1 after entering the second round as the favorite.
Reed shot an impressive 66 on the day to move into the lead with a -9. He holds a two-stroke lead over Marc Leishman, who shot a 70 in Round 1 and a 67 in Round 2 to sit at -7. Henrik Stenson is just four strokes off the pace after shooting a -2 (70) on Friday to sit at -5. Leishman is now posted at +650 to win the event while Stenson is listed at +900.
The leaderboard is loaded going into the weekend but they’re going to need some help from Reed. He’ll need to fall back to the pack if anyone else is to really make a run. Jordan Spieth fell back to -4 on the tournament after posting a +2 in the second round. He looked to be in great shape with a -6 after the first round but now he’s five off the pace. Rory McIlroy is also at -4 while Dustin Johnson is at -3, Justin Thomas is at -3, Rickie Fowler is at -2, Bubba Watson is at -2 and Justin Rose is at -2.
Of note, Tiger Woods has dropped down the list significantly. Once in the role as favorite to win The Masters, Woods would need a major miracle to even make a run. The good news is that Woods made the cut. The bad news is that it was by a whisker as he sits at +4 after two rounds. The cut was at +5. That puts him 13 strokes behind Reed and 11 behind Marc Leishman, who is in second place. He’s now a whopping 250/1 to win the event, which shows just how far he’s fallen considering he was the favorite just about a month ago.
