Utah is going to the NCAA Cross Country Championships in Stillwater

This Saturday, November 19, at 8:20 AM, the nation’s top runners will face off against the seventh-ranked Utah cross country team as they travel to Stillwater, Oklahoma, for the NCAA Championships. With Ariel Keklak’s return to the lineup at the NCAA Championships after missing the NCAA Regionals race, Utah will field its whole squad. The only Utes with prior experience participating at the NCAA Championships are Keelah Barger, Ariel Keklak, Simone Plourde, and Emily Venters out of the eight racers.

Utah will qualify for the NCAA Championships for the sixth time on Saturday and for the second consecutive year (2015-16). The 18-year head coach Kyle Kepler, who has led the team to new heights each year since taking over, is responsible for all five incidents.

The Women of Utah had their highest performance as a program in 2019, placing 16th overall at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Indiana. The All-American Grayson Murphy’s eighth-place finish in Louisville in 2017 was the greatest individual result for Utah.
