Utah Jazz – Dallas Mavericks Preview – 02.09.2016

The Utah Jazz will travel to the American Airlines Center to take on the Dallas Mavericks. The game gets underway at 8:30 pm ET on Tuesday, Feb. 9 and can be seen on RT and FSW.

The Mavericks barely escaped the Lakers 92-90 in their last matchup. Chandler Parsons had 17 points, nine rebounds, and four assists for Dallas. The Jazz, meanwhile, are coming off a close 95-92 loss to the Pistons in their last game. Rudy Gobert played well, recording his sixth double-double of the season with 17 points and 17 rebounds.

Parsons has taken his game to another level over the last five games for the Mavericks. During that stretch, he has averaged 24.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 0.8 steals, and 3.6 three-pointers. The Jazz also have their own player combo that has been on a tear in that same time frame. Gobert has averaged 14.0 points, 12.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.6 steals, and 2.6 blocks, while Gordon Hayward has put up 24.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 1.4 steals, and 2.4 three-pointers.

This will be the second matchup of the season between these two teams. The Mavericks won the first game 102-93. Deron Williams scored a game-high 23 points.
