The UAB Blazers (12-3) look to extend their nine-game winning streak when they take on the UTEP Miners (10-6) at Bartow Arena. The game starts at 2:00 pm ET on Saturday, Jan. 9 and will air on CCS.
The Blazers easily got past Texas San Antonio 104-82 on Thursday. Denzell Watts played well, contributing 15 points, six assists, and one steal for the Blazers. The Miners are coming off a 78-72 loss to Middle Tennessee on Thursday. Terry Winn scored 16 points and recorded 13 rebounds earning his second double-double of the season.
Robert Brown has been playing at a high level as of late for the Blazers, averaging 17.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.2 steals, and 3.2 three-pointers over the last five games.
