Vermont Catamounts vs. New Hampshire Wildcats ATS Prediction

The Catamounts come in on a high note after blowing out the Hartford Hawks in their last outing, 81-62. The Catamounts held the Hawks to an offensive rebounding percentage of 17.1 (below their season average of 26.2) and had an effective field goal percentage of 0.640 (above their season average of 0.525). With 21 points on 8-for-13 shooting, Anthony Lamb was the game’s leading scorer.

In the Wildcats’ previous game, they were blown out by the Stony Brook Seawolves, 62-44. One of Stony Brook’s largest advantages was their ability to convert at the free throw line. They were 14-16 (87.5 percent), while the Wildcats were just 3-6 (50.0 percent). Marque Maultsby had a solid game for New Hampshire, leading the team in scoring with 10 points on 4-for-14 shooting.

After the Catamounts won both matchups against the Wildcats last season, this will be the first matchup of the year between these two teams. In the most recent contest, Vermont won 71-58. The Catamounts knocked down 20 of their 25 free throws (80.0 percent) and had a much better effective field goal percentage (0.520 vs. 0.385).

Half-court execution will be at a premium when a pair of the nation’s slowest-paced teams battle. New Hampshire currently ranks 254th in possessions per game (68.5) and Vermont is 271st (68.0).
