Video Blog: ONE FC 23 MMA is Friday!

The ONE FC 23 card goes down today, Friday from the Mall of Asia Arena in the Philippines with a card featuring a Bantamweight title defense for Jiu Jitsu ace Bibiano Fernandes as he takes on the challenge of undefeated Dae Hwan Kim.

ONE FC is the biggest MMA promotion outside the United States, and they have an aggressive schedule to close out the year and into 2015.  On December 19th the promotion will be breaking ground with an event in Beijing, China and they have already announced two events for February, one a return to China.

The ONE FC 23 card is notable for the debuts of UFC veterans Roger Gracie and Brandon Vera.  Both men are fighting as Light Heavyweights and Heavyweights respectively as ONE FC has had limited activity in those weight classes.  Gracie is favored over British veteran James McSweeney and Vera is facing the challenge of Igor Subora as a wide favorite.

The other lines feature ONE FC’s Philippino talent as Eduard Folayang, Kevin Belingon and Honorio Banario all face off against international competition.  All three are scrappy fighters who have built winning records under the ONE FC flag.

Check out our veteran blogger Miguel Iturrate’s review of the complete lines for today’s ONE FC 23 card:
