Video Blog: Weekend Combat Sports Betting Results

This past weekend, out veteran blogger Miguel Iturrate placed three bets on the combat sports, one on boxing and two from the UFC 183 card coming out of Las Vegas.

Th boxing calendar is typically slow for January, but it begin to pick up here in Ferbruary.  Basically the whole world is awaiting word on whether Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, Jr are going to meet, but Australia had a boxing card this past weekend that featured a slew of rugby players including the all-world Sonny Bill Williams.  Did we lay the juice for the favorite Williams, or take his opponent, the veteran Chauncy Welliver as an underdog?

On the UFC 183 card, we bet the controversial Kelvin Gastelum versus Tyrone Woodley fight, putting in a bet before Gastelum set off a controversy by massively failing to make weight.  The incident saw Gastelum go from a slight favorite to having Woodley favored 2 to 1. Woodley outlasted Gastelum in a fight that did not meet expectations, but was our veteran blogger Miguel Iturrate on the winning side?  The final bet saw veteran Thiago Alves face Jordan Mein in a fight that pitted an old face against a guy looking to break through to the top of the division.
