Video Blog: Weekend MMA Betting Results

This past week was a decent week for our blogger Miguel Iturrate, who placed four bets on boxing and MMA and went 3-1.

On the MMA side, laying the juice on former Bellator champion Alexander Shlemenko was the way to go, as Shlemenko was able to take out Melvin Manhoef in the second round using a spinning back fist.  The stop came at the 1:25 mark, though our blogger stayed away from it, this means that he over/under, which was set at 1.5 rounds, paid off the under at (-165).  With the lack of depth on the Bellator roster, it is likely that Shlemenko will be fast tracked into a title re-match against Brandon Halsey, but his lack of even rudimentary instincts on the ground has been exposed.

In the UFC, Benson henderson made a successful debut at 170 lbs, taking out Brandon Thatch in the fourth round of their main event fight.

The last two bets came from the world of boxing, where two fights in England inspired our blogger to bet the underdog.  Well the payoff came back on the boxing side as one of the underdog bets hit big.  The ongoing total in our fictitious bank now sits at over $5,000.
