Southern foes will battle when the Wofford Terriers (11-13) play the VMI Keydets (6-16) at Benjamin Johnson Arena. The game gets underway at 7:00 pm ET on Monday, Feb. 8.
The Terriers won a close one over Samford 78-75 on Saturday. Eric Garcia had 17 points, six assists, and three rebounds for Wofford. The Keydets, meanwhile, are coming off a 69-60 loss at the hands of Western Carolina on Saturday. Phillip Anglade accounted for 11 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks.
The Keydets may not find many second-chance opportunities in this matchup. They’re ranked 290th in the nation in offensive rebounding (OR% of 26.4%), whereas Wofford is 26th-best in the nation on the defensive glass (DR% of 74.9%).
This is the second game of the year between these two teams, with the Terriers winning the first matchup 65-61. Despite the loss, QJ Peterson was a top performer in the game with 18 points, eight rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block, and three three-pointers.
