Andrew Bogut represented the Golden State Warriors on two occasions in his NBA career, and Warriors head coach Steve Kerr would like to have him once again. The 34-year-old center spent four seasons at Oracle Arena from 2012 to 2016 and won the NBA championship in 2015. He also returned to the team last season, and Kerr was happy to have him on the roster.
“We loved having Bogues on the Warriors last year,” said Kerr. “I think it was really good for him to play in Sydney. Part of that was just being home. It’s a better lifestyle than the NBA. But yeah, [Bogut returning to the Warriors] is something that I’d be into again. He is one of the best passing big men who has ever lived. What he did for the Boomers in that win against Team USA didn’t surprise me. Andrew just seems rejuvenated to me. From a few years ago to now, he is playing better than he has in years.”

The former No. 1 overall pick also played for the Sydney Kings last year, winning NBL MVP and Best Defensive Player honors in the process. Following the campaign in Australia, the former Milwaukee Buck returned to the Warriors in March and played some critical rotation minutes for Golden State during its NBA Finals run.
The Warriors already lost several crucial players this summer as Kevin Durant, DeMarcus Cousins, Andre Iguodala, Jordan Bell, Damian Jones and Shaun Livingston all departed. Considering that there are only two centers on Kerr’s roster at the moment: Kevon Looney and Willie Cauley-Stein, Bogut could get another chance to play for the Warriors in the upcoming season. He would definitely provide experience and excellent interior defense, and Golden State could use him in some important situations when they need to defend the rim.
