The two-time defending NBA champions were reeling, injured, down in the NBA Finals and in the game to the Toronto Raptors. Then the Golden State Warriors went on an 18-0 run to start the second half, took control and evened the series at one game apiece. In the process, Golden State picked up another key injury, to Klay Thompson’s hamstring, and still don’t know when Kevin Durant is coming back. But thanks in part to DeMarcus Cousins and Andre Iguodala, Golden State took over home-court advantage and will head back to the bay after impressing a host of celebrities, including former President Barack Obama.

Of course, looming over the entire series is the fact that Kevin Durant could return at any time for the Warriors, who just hope to tread water until then. So far, so good.

Add Klay Thompson to Golden State’s list of the walking wounded. He pulled his hamstring during Game 2, but says he should be able to return for Wednesday’s Game 3.

With Durant out, Thompson hurt and Stephen Curry struggling, the Warriors got big contributions on both ends of the floor from Andre Iguodala and DeMarcus Cousins.
#Warriors bailed out by Iguodala and the great, return from injury play of Cousins. That’s how Champs do it!

The biggest name courtside in Toronto? It wasn’t Drake, for once.
The chant raining down from the stands of Scotiabank Arena in Toronto weren’t for Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard or any other player on the court. They were for the ex-President sitting courtside. https://t.co/y80wJNFG6k
