Washington Nationals – Chicago White Sox Preview – 06.09.2016

In the last of a three-game series between the Chicago White Sox (29-30) and the Washington Nationals (36-23) at U.S. Cellular Field, Miguel Gonzalez (0-1, 3.93 ERA) and Gio Gonzalez (3-4, 3.94 ERA) take the mound. The White Sox lost the last game 11-4, extending a five-game losing streak. The game starts at 8:10 p.m. ET on Thursday, Jun. 9 and will air on WPWR and MAS2.

In his most recent outing, Gonzalez pitched 1.1 innings, giving up zero runs and striking out one in a 5-2 loss to the Tigers. Adam Eaton (.271, 24 Rs, 3 HRs, 19 RBIs, 5 SBs) played well again yesterday, going 2 for 5 with one RBI. The Nationals were also unsuccessful the last time Gonzalez pitched. He struggled, going 6.0 innings, allowing five runs and striking out eight in a 7-2 loss to the Reds. Bryce Harper (.257, 35 Rs, 13 HRs, 37 RBIs, 7 SBs) has been hitting the ball well, going 3 for 6 yesterday with one run.
