Tampa Bay just lost a 42-28 game to Carolina in Week 9. The defense let the Panthers eat up the clock by running for 179 yards on 32 rush attempts, including four rush TDs. Christian McCaffrey was a force to be reckoned with, recording 79 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 17 attempts, along with 78 yards on five catches for Carolina. For Tampa Bay, Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 24-of-40 passes for 243 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. Peyton Barber (31 yards on 11 rush attempts) mounted the running attack as Adam Humphries (eight receptions, 82 yards, two TDs) and O.J. Howard (four catches, 53 yards, two TDs) led the pass-catching attack in the loss.
Washington’s run the ball on 45.1 percent of its offensive possessions this year while Tampa Bay has a rush percentage of 36.5 percent. The Redskins have produced 122 rush yards per game and have seven touchdowns on the ground this year. The Bucs are logging 90 rush yards per game and have five total rushing TDs.
