Both men are now on the plus side of 40 and well past their primes, but the bout still has some potential in terms of excitement.  Also on the card is the is the IBF female Super Bantamweight title fight between Yulihan Luna Avila (12-2) and Maureen Shea (24-2).

Luna Avila is the 21-year-old current champion who is fighting in the United States for the first time in her career, while Shea is a former interim world champion at featherweight and is coming down in weight to challenge for the title.

Also on the calendar this weekend is Hall of Famer Roy Jones Jr (62-8) as he continues to pursue a world championship in the cruiserweight division despite being 46 years old.  His opponent is Danny Santiago (33-7-1), and this is the second of three bouts that Jones Jr has scheduled over a six week period.
