The Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi hosts the latest edition of the Premiere Boxing Champions series this Friday on Spike TV. The two featured fights are in the Light Heavyweight division and they both have lines at the sport books.
Once-beaten Edwin Rodriguez (27-1) takes on undefeated Michael Seals (19-0) in the main event. For Rodriguez, this fight will see him looking to win his fourth fight in a row since taking a loss to Andre Ward as a Super Middleweight back in November of 2013.
Seals has a fine record, but he has been inactive, fighting only two times in the last two years, and Rodriguez will be considered a big step up in the level of competition for Seals. Also at Light Heavyweight, Thomas Williams Jr (18-1) faces Umberto Savigne (12-2) in a 10-round bout.
For Williams, this is a chance to showcase his skills, and though Savigne comes from Cuba and owns a wide amateur background, but he is 36 years old and reports are out that he was struggling to make the 175 pound light heavyweight limit.

On Saturday, SHOWTIME brings heavyweight action from the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel and Casino as former WBC World Champion Bermane Stiverne returns to action for the first time since his January of 2015 loss to Deontay Wilder as he faces Derric Rossy. Stiverne seems to be a forgotten man in the resurgent heavyweight division after the long layoff, and he needs a strong performance to get his name back in the mix.
Rossy is 35 years old and he has managed to stay active fighting four times in 2013 and three times in 2014. He has already logged two fights in 2015, but his record in the span between 2013 and now stands at an average 4-5. The SHOWTIME event also features a Super Welterweight 10-round bout between Frank Galarza (17-0-2) and Jarrett Hurd (16-0) that could pop up with a late line at the books.
Promoters Mike Hennessy and Chris Sanigar have a card set for Bristol, England that is headlined by the BBBofC British Middleweight title fight between titleholder Nick “Bam Bam” Blackwell (18-3-1) and challenger Jack Arnfield (19-1).
Blackwell has fought a much higher level of competition throughout his career than Arnfield, and he has gone 5-0-1 in his last six bouts since losing to Max Bursak back in September of 2013. The card is also notable for the presence of undefated heavyweight Hughie Fury (16-0) who is the cousin of Tyson Fury, the No. 3 ranked heavyweight in the world today.
The card also sees young Andrew Selby returning to the ring on short notice for his second professional match as he faces 10-0 Jozsef Ajtai in an eight round bout. Selby, a decorated British amateur who is the younger brother of IBF World Featherweight champion Lee Selby made his debut on Oct. 30. Andrew Selby’s first fight saw him a hige favorite at the books, so his fight and the Fury fight as well as a handful of other bouts on this event that has 14 fights planned may still turn up at the sport books.
