If you’re not playing our FCS bets of the week over at GetMoreSports, you are missing out on a veritable cash cow. We have been locked in on lesser division football over the course of the year, and the FCS plays are 18-5-1 ATS in 2018. Last week, we went 2-0 against the college football betting line. Kennesaw State was a narrow winner on the last week with a 38-10 victory over Charleston Southern. Jacksonville State had no problem covering the CFB betting line of 7.5 points on the road against Murray State either, thrashing the Racers 42-15 to retake the top spot in the Ohio Valley Conference. Here are this week’s FCS football betting odds and picks.

The Citadel vs. Western Carolina Under 73.5
This line is incredibly high for a Southern Conference game, and that’s based on what we have seen from the Catamounts. Western Carolina has one of the top offenses in the country. The Catamounts are averaging 487.4 yards per game, and they have been involved in shootouts with five of their six conference foes. However, while teams like Samford, VMI, East Tennessee State, and Mercer are more than happy to race up and down the field, The Citadel is not.

The Bulldogs run the triple option, and their aim is to win the time of possession battle and wear their opponents down over the course of four quarters. The Citadel is just 2-5 on the season, but all of their games have finished shy of the total. That’s in spite of facing some high-powered offenses too. Even if Western Carolina ends up scoring 40, I don’t think this one gets there just because of the type of offense The Citadel runs.
Southern Utah vs. Montana Over 69.5
It hasn’t been a good year for the Thunderbirds. They have won just one game all season long, and they are not going back to the playoffs for a second straight year. However, this team has faced a brutal schedule. They faced off against two PAC 12 teams and a Division II power making the leap to FCS in non-conference play, and Southern Utah has faced some of the top teams in the conference.
They have been abysmal on defense too. Southern Utah has the third-worst defense in the nation, and the Thunderbirds have allowed a ton of points against nearly every opponent.
That has me loving the over. Montana has a very good offense and a defense that has struggled (91st in the nation). Despite Southern Utah’s struggles, the offense has done what it has wanted to do in terms of upping the tempo. The Thunderbirds are running more plays than any other team in the country, over 85 plays per game on average, and Montana will be more than happy to match that pace.
