The 2019 NFL regular is coming to a close this Sunday and that means we’ll know (barring any ties) who’ll have the top pick in the 2019 NFL Draft very shortly. There are just four teams in the running and the oddsmakers have posted lines on all of them:
Who Will Get The No. 1 Pick In The 2019 NFL Draft?
The Arizona Cardinals have the inside track at the top pick in the draft as they not only have the worst record in the NFL at 3-12, they are also a 13.5-point underdog on the road in Seattle. The Seahawks have already clinched a playoff spot but they still have plenty to play for. A win secures them the No. 5 seed and a visit to Dallas in the opening round of the playoffs. A loss could drop them to sixth (if Minnesota wins) and force them to go on the road to Chicago during Wild Card Weekend.

There are three other teams with a shot at the top pick in the draft but all will need the Cardinals to pull off a stunning miracle. Those teams are the New York Jets, Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers. All three of those teams are 4-11 and will be in the running.
The Raiders have played well down the stretch of the season and are 3-3 in their last six games. However, they are also on the road as a 13.5-point underdog. They’ll be visiting the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, who need to win to lock up the No. 1 seed in the AFC standings. A loss to Oakland could open the door for the Los Angeles Chargers to claim the top spot. The Chiefs have lost two straight, though, and while those were to good teams like the Chargers and Seahawks, maybe Oakland can give them a scare. The Raiders played them tough a few weeks ago in Oakland, although they ultimately lost 40-33.
The Jets – like the Raiders and Cardinals – are also a 13.5-point underdog. They’ve played well in spurts this season with Sam Darnold under center but they have had a tough time closing games. They’ve lost eight of nine, including a back-breaking loss at home last week to the Green Bay Packers where they blew a 15-point, fourth quarter lead. The Jets are on the road at New England, who needs to win to clinch the No. 2 seed in the AFC and a playoff berth. The Jets are likely to lose.
As for the 49ers, they are the smallest dog of the three, which isn’t ideal if they’re trying to lose and get the first pick. They’re a 10-point dog at the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams do need to win to wrap up the No. 2 seed in the conference, so don’t expect them to take it easy.
What this really comes down to is the Cardinals. Can they actually pick up a win? They have won two straight in Seattle but the dynamics of the teams have changed quite a bit.
