Williams Wants a Trade, Patriots Cut Sefarian-Jenkins and More

Trent Williams has made it clear to the Washington Redskins that he wants to be cut or traded. With that demand in the wind, it’s no surprise that Williams is skipping the team’s mandatory minicamp. Head coach Jay Gruden wants him back and made reiterated that in statements to the media today.

Patriots cut Austin Seferian-Jenkins

Austin Sefarian-Jenkins saw his tenure with the New England Patriots last just one day. After one full practice with the tight end, the Patriots had seen enough, hitting the ejector seat on the former Tampa Bay Buccaneer. New England had signed Sefarian-Jenkins to a one-year deal, with just $50,000 in guaranteed money.

Packers and Raiders to play in Winnipeg

The Green Bay Packers and Oakland Raiders will be summering in Manitoba, like you want to do. Green Bay and Oakland will kick off a preseason battle in Winnipeg at IG Field on Aug. 22.
