WrestleMania 32 Main Show Preview & Predictions

WrestleMania 32 is tomorrow night, and there are several matches (with lackluster build) on a huge card. After looking at the matches on the pre-show, it is only appropriate to see what the main show has to offer.

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal started at WrestleMania 30 as the start of a yearly tradition. Since the inaugural battle royal, Cesaro and Big Show have been the two winners so far. At WrestleMania 32, another Superstar (or maybe the Big Show again) will win the battle royal and hopefully build some momentum to further their career.

Prediction:
There are twenty Superstars slotted for this Battle Royal, including The Big Show, Kane, and The Social Outcasts. However, the entire Wyatt Family hasn’t been scheduled for anything yet at WrestleMania, so I expect them to enter this battle royal and come out with a win with their “giant.” Winner: Braun Strowman

The New Day vs. The League of Nations – 3-on-4 Handicap Match
What’s noticeable here is that this is a non-title match, which easily gives the New Day an extra month in their title reign. The League of Nations challenged the New Day to this match because they are tired of all the goofy antics that the New Day displays before and during matches. They are so mad at the New Day that they don’t even care about the Tag Team titles. Instead, this is going to be a handicap match.

Prediction:
This match would have been a close call if it was for the Tag Team Championship, but since it isn’t, it shows the lack of faith in the League of Nations. The New Day, on the other hand, is perhaps the hottest thing going in WWE right now, so keeping them as the Tag Team Champions will help them stay in the spotlight (and hopefully feud with Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady). Because of that, along with the fact that The League of Nations is a bunch of sitting ducks at this point, I’m going with the New Day for this one. Winners: The New Day

AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho
This feud goes all the way back to the night after the Royal Rumble, where Chris Jericho started welcoming the “rookie” to the “big leagues.” They feuded, teamed up, and started feuding again after Jericho was tired of hearing the “AJ Styles” chants. After weeks of back-and-forth taunting, attacking, and interfering, Styles challenged Jericho to a match at WrestleMania.

Prediction:
Chris Jericho is known to return for a short while to put over talent. I can see Jericho doing this again with AJ Styles, then leaving for a while after WrestleMania. Also, AJ Styles, one of the biggest signings WWE has seen (along with Sting and Shinsuke Nakamura), needs his WrestleMania moment. Winner: AJ Styles

Kevin Owens (c) vs. Sami Zayn vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. The Miz vs. Stardust vs. Sin Cara vs. Zack Ryder – Intercontinental Championship (Ladder Match)
Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens (the only two that really matter in this match) have been friends and foes since they entered wrestling together over a decade ago. Zayn was put out of action for a good portion of last year, due to an injury that developed after Owens powerbombed Zayn onto the ring apron. After months of recovery, Zayn is back and ready to take on his former best friend. Also, the other five guys want the Intercontinental Championship.

Prediction:
The Zayn-Owens feud is going to go on forever no matter what happens in this match, and Zayn doesn’t need a title win right out of the gate. Kevin Owens can cap off the end of an amazing “rookie” year in WWE by successfully defending his Intercontinental Championship against six other men. Winner, and STILL Intercontinental Champion: Kevin Owens

Charlotte (c) vs. Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch – Divas Championship
Charlotte, Sasha Banks, and Becky Lynch have been feuding over the Divas Championship since Fastlane, after Charlotte retained her title after facing Brie Bella. These three women are part of the Four Horsewomen (the fourth member being former NXT Women’s Champion Bayley), and have revolutionized the Divas division. This match has a big chance at stealing the show tomorrow night.

Prediction:
Charlotte has had a good reign as Divas Champion, as both a face and a heel. However, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch have been climbing the ladder rapidly over the last few months, and a new champion would add more credibility throughout the Divas division. Both Lynch and Banks are great contenders for the Divas Championship, but I see the Boss getting a win in this match. Winner, and NEW Divas Champion: Sasha Banks

Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar – No Holds Barred Street Fight
Ambrose and Lesnar faced each other in a #1 Contenders match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, along with the winner, Roman Reigns. Since that match, there has been animosity between these two men. Ambrose keeps calling out Brock Lesnar like the “lunatic” that he is, and Lesnar is ready to destroy Ambrose. Lesnar hasn’t lost cleanly at WrestleMania since he faced Triple H, which was before he no longer had diverticulitis.

Prediction:
Ambrose faces the biggest challenge of his career, and with the help of weapons given to him by Terry Funk and Mick Foley, he has his best chance at defeating the “Beast Incarnate.” However, Lesnar can bring weapons of his own too, and with his freakish strength and agility, Lesnar still has the advantage over Ambrose. Winner: Brock Lesnar

Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker (Hell in a Cell Match)
Shane McMahon returned to Monday Night Raw after a six year hiatus in the search for control of Raw. Vince McMahon, his father, gave him a chance to get what he wants. If he defeats the Undertaker, he will control Raw. Also, if the Undertaker loses, this will be Undertaker’s last WrestleMania ever.

Prediction:
It would be great to see a change of pace of Raw, which has been pretty stagnant for all of 2016. However, I can’t see this being The Undertaker’s last WrestleMania, since he should go out putting over someone who needs it. Winner: The Undertaker

Triple H (c) vs. Roman Reigns – WWE World Heavyweight Championship (No Disqualification Match)
Roman Reigns has been in the main event scene since the 2015 Royal Rumble, and ever since, the fans have not wanted him there. for the last few months, Reigns has been hunting for the World Heavyweight Championship, and even held the title twice. What seemed to be a sure victory at the 2016 Royal Rumble ended with Triple H winning the title, because they don’t want Reigns to be “the guy” (This is very, very similar to the Daniel Bryan storyline). Reigns has the opportunity to become the face of WWE tomorrow night.

Prediction:
If you have been watching Raw at all over the last few months, this needs no explanation. Winner, and NEW WWE World Heavyweight Champion: Roman Reigns
