WWE Backlash Odds For Sunday PPV

WWE Backlash Odds

WWE Backlash Odds – The World Wrestling Entertainment’s Smackdown Brand unleashes their first PPV since the recent “split” this Sunday, September 11th live from Richmond, VA. The event brings back the “Backlash” PPV series, and the 2016 version is headlined by the Dean Ambrose vs AJ Style match for the WWE world championship.

Ambrose has done a good job with the WWE Championship, and the WWE could decide to have him keep the belt or at least extend the feud with Styles, but AJ is the favorite heading into the fight. A win by Styles would mean that the WWE has both of their major belts in the hands of newcomers to the big organization, as Finn Balor recently won the Universal belt on RAW and now Kevin Owens has it. None of those guys were with the WWE’s big show 18 months ago so an AJ Style win may be a continued harbinger of change in the WWE.

Center stage for this pay-per-view is the ladies division and the “six-pack challenge” that sees the the women vying for the new ladies’ Smackdown title. The brand split has had the effect of expanding the former “Divas” division, bringing up a lot of new talent and splitting the women’s roster in two. The favorite in the field is Nikki Bella, and she is the competitor with the mist “dues paid” in this match.

The bottom line is that this is a pressure-filled and historical match for the women, as six person matches like this are hard to pull off for experienced male wrestlers. But the women’s roster has worked extremely hard in the recent run to up the level of the division, and they have done it. Look for the ladies to try some new moves in this one.

Does the Miz STILL have the WWE Intercontinental belt? No one really cares about The Miz despite bringing his wife into the storyline, and he is facing Dolph Ziggler, who is there to perennially make others look good.

Finally, Randy Orton is back on a quick turnaround after his huge gaping cut ended his Brock Lesnar match ugly on the last PPV. Orton is favored as he faces boogeyman Bray Wyatt.
