WWE Elimination Chamber Main Event Odds – This Sunday, February 12th sees the World Wrestling Entertainment’s latest pay-per-view, titled “Elimination Chamber” air on the WWE Network.
The main event sees WWE World Champion John Cena entering the massive cage called “The Elimination Chamber” to defend his belt against the challenge of five other men. The field includes former world champions AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose and The Miz as well as two dangerous loners in Bray Wyatt and Baron Corbin.
The Wrestlemania opponent for the WWE champion is set as Randy Orton by virtue of Orton’s big win at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view at the end of January. any winner of this Sunday bout will have to make for “must see” television come Wrestlemania, and as we close in on fight time, the books are picking Bray Wyatt as a heavy favorite. Styles is the hot name in the company right now and after a run of fights with John Cena, Orton would give him a second top WWE gun in a row to feud with, but that does not seem like enough. Cena and Orton has been done 100 times already and Orton versus either Corbin, The Miz or Dean Ambrose does not have the gravitas needed to main event Wrestlemania.
For the last several months Orton has been appearing as a member of the Wyatt family and the story line of the two clashing at Wrestlemania appears to be the strongest as we approach Sunday.
The Tag Team titles will be decided in a format called “Tag Team Turmoil” which essentially pits the champions, American Alpha against a field of five other teams. Tat field includes Heath Slater and Rhyno, The Vaudevillians, Breezango, The Usos and The Ascension. Quite honestly there is very little to get excited about in this field unless something completely unexpected happens. A hint of just that may have come on Smackdown earlier this month as The Ascension scored an unexpected win to get into the contest. How unexpected is a win by the Ascension? One website that counts these things out there lists their 2016 record as 3-43, so at this point, just The Ascension winning is news. Or could it have been a portent of big things to come for the much maligned team on Sunday?
