WWE Extreme Rules Odds

WWE Extreme Rules Odds for Sunday – the WWE checks in this weekend with the ‘EXTREME RULES’ ppv, the last before SUMMERSLAM in August.

The WWE has been buoyed this year by the women’s divisions and the appearance of former UFC darling Ronda Rousey and at this point they are saving the ‘Rowdy One’ for the August 19th Summerslam PPV. She has been used sparingly, though she may make an appearance on Sunday’s ppv. Rousey is expected to face the winner of the Nia Jax versus Alexa Bliss title bout this Sunday, so she may pop in and dish out a beat down or two, or perhaps she will play it coy.

One star that is not on the ppv is Brock Lesnar nad of course, the Universal champion was actually seen on someone else’s ppv last week as he appeared at UFC 226 to challenge Daniel Cormier. His Summerslam appearance is up in the air as well.

The big star on the roster is current champion AJ Styles, who faces the unusual challenge of Rusev.  Rusev, known as the “Bulgarian Brute” has been getting himself in great shape for about a year now. His size and style will make AJ work and do different things than he had to do in his recent set of bouts with Shinsuke Nakamura, but at theend of the day it is unlikely that Rusev is going to get arun with the belt. There are questions as to whether Rusev will even warrant an extended feud where they fight several times or if Sunday’s match is just a one and done.

As for Nakamura, he is getting a shot at United States champion Jeff Hardy. look for the Japanese star to pull off the win over the high flying Hardy, who has now hit 40 and can’t possibly sustain his style for another 10 years. For Nakamura, the US title is a nice second prize after the failed run at Styles.

Bliss will enter her bout against Jax a favorite. The giant Jax has already tangled with Rousey, so the story is apparently going to be Rousey versus Bliss first. Once Rousey has the belt, you can look for her to renew the rivalry with Jax as her first world title challenger.
