WWE Hell in a Cell Odds

This Sunday the WWE Network airs their “Hell in a Cell” pay-per-view event with a main event featuring Brock Lesnar taking on the Undertaker in the steel cage that gives the event its name.  The facts are that the Undertaker collapsed after a rigorous bout with Lesnar earlier this year, and he is an older man now.

Though his traditional Wrestlemania appearance will be talked about early next year, this could very well be the last time we see “The Dead Man.”

The other “Hell in a Cell” cage bout features Roman Reigns taking on Bray Wyatt in what is likely to be the culmination of their months long feud.  If Reigns is going to be the baby-face of the company in the near future, he is going to have to find a way to dispatch Wyatt.  The cage is supposed to prevent outside interference, but Wyatt’s character revolves so much around his “family” that it cannot be ruled out.

Champion Seth Rollins puts his WWE World title on the line against Kane.  This rivalry has been brewing since  before Rollins even won the title, as Kane was one of his henchmen in the Authority and the back and forth between the two goes way back.  There is talk that the veteran Kane may be given a short title run out of respect and Rollins has seemed more and more flaky and on edge as of late.

Charlotte, the current Divas champion and the daughter of wrestling legend Ric Flair, defends here title against Nikki Bella the former champion.  Charlotte haas the family pedigree and will likely keep the belt, as the WWE has been setting up a feud for her with Page for a while now.

In tag team action, The New Day face the Dudley Boys with their title belts on the line.  The New Day have done a great job as heels, but the Dudleys are a tag team with a long and decorated history and they are not likely to have returned to the WWE to finish second.  The New Day is comprised of three men however, and there is always the trombone!  So perhaps there is a chance this feud extends itself.  The Wyatt family and Sheamus and King Barrett could be entering the tag team ranks shortly as well, making for a deep pool of talent to face the Dudleys.

The Intercontinental title is on the line between Kevin Owens and Ryback.  Ryback held the belt for several months and was a worthy champion, but Owens took the belt from him and he has really gotten under Ryback’s skin.  Owens is still a newcomer, but he has taken to the big stage very well and he is an excellent heal.  Ryback gets angry and looks like a snorting bull, and Ryback has been very good on the mike as well, but compared to Owen’s and his derisive personality, Ryback is coming in second.
