Welcome back to the Get More Sports WWE Power Rankings, where we rank the top 25 WWE Superstars of the last week by momentum, impact, and performance. Last week was a huge one for WWE, so this week seems a little more relaxed. Raw continues to build towards Extreme Rules, SmackDown deals with the fallout of Backlash heading towards Money in the Bank, and NXT puts on its usual post-TakeOver episode. How does all of this affect the power rankings?
- Alexa Bliss (+5)
After a week of being out of the top spot, Alexa Bliss is back where she belongs. Last week, Bliss attacked Bayley with a kendo stick. This week, she defeated Mickie James and then attacked her as well. - Jinder Mahal (-1)
Following his huge WWE Championship victory at Backlash, Jinder Mahal celebrated only how he could. In his Punjabi Celebration, Mahal had several Indian musicians and dancers perform around the ring while Mahal bragged to the crowd. - Shinsuke Nakamura (+1)
The King of Strong Style made his main roster debut last Sunday, but this week he finally competed on SmackDown Live. Shinsuke Nakamura teamed up with AJ Styles to defeat the team of Kevin Owens (who Nakamura would pin) and Dolph Ziggler. Nakamura was also announced as a participant for the Money in the Bank ladder match. - Breezango (-2)
Tyler Breeze and Fandango both picked up singles victories against Uso brother, convincing them to get Breezango another title opportunity. While the didn’t win the titles, two singles victories and a championship match all in one night is quite the accomplishment. - Bray Wyatt (+5)
At the start of Monday Night Raw, Bray Wyatt was facing Roman Reigns and lost when Samoa Joe attacked Reigns. This led to a tag team match later in the night, where Wyatt and Joe defeated the team of Reigns and Seth Rollins. - The Miz (+1)
The Miz didn’t compete in in-ring action this week, but he helped Dean Ambrose lose. When The Lunatic Fringe was squaring off against the debuting Elias Samson, Miz purposely hit Samson so that Ambrose would get disqualified. - The Usos (+9)
While mind games from ringside prevented Jimmy and Jey Uso from winning their matches against Tyler Breeze and Fandango, The Usos did retain their SmackDown Tag Team Championships right after. - The Hardy Boyz (+14)
Following Jeff Hardy’s victory over Sheamus last week, Matt Hardy defeated the Celtic Warrior this week in singles action. This victory gave the Hardys the match stipulation for their Raw Tag Team Championship title defense at Extreme Rules. - Akira Tozawa (-)
This was a huge week for Akira Tozawa. On Raw, he soundly defeated Ariya Daivari. The following night on 205 Live, Tozawa ended his feud with The Brian Kendrick by winning a brutal street fight. - Asuka (+2)
The NXT Women’s Champion didn’t appear on WWE television this week, but she reached an incredible milestone in her career. WWE finally acknowledged that Asuka surpassed Goldberg’s undefeated streak of 173-0, and it looks like she isn’t stopping anytime soon. - Finn Balor (+5)
Balor got back in the swing of things this week. Bouncing back from a loss to Roman Reigns, Balor defeated his former ally in Japan, Karl Anderson. Before the match started, Balor was approached by Paul Heyman who did nothing but compliment the former Universal Champion. - Samoa Joe (-)
The Samoan Submission Machine returns to the Power Rankings after being a big part of Raw. He attacked Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt during the opening match, then he won alongside Wyatt in the main event by forcing Seth Rollins to pass out to the Coquina Clutch. - Sami Zayn (+1)
Even though Sami Zayn got destroyed by Baron Corbin this week on SmackDown Live, he did quickly defeat the Lone Wolf before that. The assault doesn’t take anything away from his victory, but it did ruin the celebration a little bit. - Cedric Alexander (-)
The Cruiserweight Division has been needed the return of Cedric Alexander to add more variety to 205 Live, and they got just that this week. Alexander returned to the ring after 3 months of being on the shelf, and he defeated an enhancement talent. - Drew McIntyre (-)
Every time Drew McIntyre has competed since his WWE return, it has been with a boatload of impact. His physical presence has improved tremendously since his 3MB days (just like Jinder Mahal), and his matches have always been exciting. This week, McIntyre showed this again against Wesley Blake. - AJ Styles (-)
Alongside Shinsuke Nakamura, Styles defeated Kevin Owens and Dolph Ziggler in the main event of SmackDown Live. Like Nakamura, Styles is also a part of the Money in the Bank ladder match. - Elias Samson (-)
For over a month, The Drifter was living up to his nickname by just strumming his guitar around the backstage area. Kurt Angle finally realized Elias Samson never competed, so he pitted him against Dean Ambrose. Thanks to the Miz, Samson technically defeated the Intercontinental Champion. - Roman Reigns (-9)
Thanks to Samoa Joe attacking him, Roman Reigns picked up a victory over Bray Wyatt this week. His team lost in the main event, however, but he was not the one to take the fall. - Rich Swann (-)
Akira Tozawa wasn’t the only Cruiserweight to defeat Ariya Daivari this week. Rich Swann defeated Daivari after Daivari accused Swann of ruining his $1,500 shirt. Unfortunately for Swann, he was attacked after his match as well. - Aleister Black (-)
When it comes to in-ring presence, Aleister Black has already seemingly mastered it. Through his calm demeanor, Black used his incredible striking ability to defeat Monday Night Raw’s Curt Hawkins. - Sasha Banks (-)
The Boss suffered a pretty bad loss at the hands of Alicia Fox last week, but she turned thing around by winning their rubber match on this week’s Raw. - Becky Lynch (-)
After several weeks of losing to the Welcoming Committee, Becky Lynch teamed up with Charlotte to defeat Natalya and Carmella. Lynch gets some bonus points for being the one to force Carmella to tap out. - Charlotte (-)
As mentioned above, Charlotte’s team defeated the Welcoming Committee this week. Since Charlotte didn’t score the fall, she doesn’t get as high of a spot on the rankings. - Velveteen Dream (-)
Formerly known as Patrick Clark, Velveteen Dream returned to NXT this week and picked up a victory. Velveteen Dream impressed with his surprising strength and agility. - Kalisto (-)
Kalisto didn’t want to join the Titus Brand, so Titus O’Neil got a match together pitting him against his friend, Apollo Crews. Crews was too distracted by O’Neil barking orders at him and it led to Kalisto getting the win with the Salida Del Sol.
- New to the Rankings This Week: Kalisto, Velveteen Dream, Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, Aleister Black, Rich Swann, Elias Samson, AJ Styles, Drew McIntyre, Cedric Alexander, Samoa Joe, Akira Tozawa
- Kicked off the Rankings: Noam Dar, Wolfgang, TJP, Tyler Bate, Pete Dunne, Bobby Roode, Goldust, Roderick Strong, The Authors of Pain, Alicia Fox, The Welcoming Committee, Tommaso Ciampa, Kevin Owens
