It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt. Or at least that’s what Brett Gardner can tell himself after he had to get some self-inflicted stitches in his lip after a frustrated dugout helmet toss went bad Saturday. David Price watched an insane college baseball performance from his alma mater. And the Angels were having plenty of fun for three straight at-bats. Elsewhere, Elvis Andrus had one last gleeful bit of fun with old teammate Adrian Beltre, and Bobby Valentine can now have fun with his funny-nose-and-glasses bit on its 20th anniversary.

This is not how Brett Gardner envisioned this going. And unlike the rest of us, national TV cameras caught his moment of shame.

David Price shouted out Kumar Rocker of his alma mater, Vanderbilt, after Rocker struck out 19 in a no-hitter to keep the Commodores’ season alive.

Three at-bats. Three dingers. The Angels meant business in the fourth inning.

Adrian Beltre doesn’t like to have his head touched. Elvis Andrus knows this. So you can guess what happened next.

Has it really been 20 years?
